Court Of Exchequer Bill Books - bill entered 22 Feb 1806: Plaintiffs: George Greene and Mary Greene, otherwise Galbraith, his wife Defendants: Richard Galbraith [son of James Galbraith 3rd of Cappard and Rose Power Trench] Patrick Staunton [father-in-law of Richard Galbraith above] John Power Trench [brother of Rose Power Trench and perhaps a trustee under James Galbraith 3rd of Cappard's will?] Michael Blood [perhaps a trustee under James Galbraith 3rd of Cappard's will?] Henry Greene [perhaps a trustee under James Galbraith 3rd of Cappard's will?] Rose Power Trench [widow of James Galbraith 3rd of Cappard, adding proof that Rose did not die in 1805 as some genealogies maintain] Attorneys: A Hawkesworth and W Greene The entry notes that the defendants filed their responses in Nov 1806.
Residence: | 1824 | Nobility, gentry and clergy: Mrs Galbraith, Society Street, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway |
Pigot & Co's Provincial Directory of Ireland 1824 (same apparently appears in Slater's Directory of Ireland 1824) Is this Rose Power Trench. Perhaps Rose as a widow went to live in Ballinasloe close to her Trench family and left Cappard in the hands of son Richard and family. A possibility. Rose's sons were also connected with Ballinasloe at different times.
Died | c 1829 | likely at Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, Ireland |
