Will of Thomas Elston of Caistor, Norfolk, yeoman made 8 Mar 1652. Burial at the discretion of my executrix. To Thomazine my loving wife, all lands, tenements, , goods, chattels [etc]. I stand engaged by promise to my kinsman William Cubitt made upon his marriage to pay to him £40. My executrix shall by bond within one month of my decease pay to William Cubitt within six months of my decease, and £60 within a year and a half of my decease, which I further will and devise as a legacy and testimony of my love to him and his wife. To Thomasine Minge my kinswoman £100, £50 at age 21 and the other £50 at the death of my executrix. My executrix shall enter into bond and forward the said legacy, but if she neglects then my brother Henry Parre shall sell all my goods, lands [etc] and my said wife shall join in such sale at his request, or if she refuses then she shall have no benefit from my will. Wife Thomasine to be sole executrix, but id she refuses bonds or sale, then all to my brother Henry Parre and his heirs and Henry to be sole executor.
