Press 12 Dec 1933: GIFT PARTIES - In honour of the approaching marriage of Miss Elsie Treneary to Mr Charles Angas, the well-known Canterbury and formerly New Zealand lawn tennis champion, an enjoyable evening party was given by the Misses VERA and DOROTHY GASSON. Miss Treneary was presented with a bouquet and many useful gifts for her future home. Bridge, table tennis tournaments, games, and competitions were enjoyed. The winners of the competitions were Mrs A. Vile, Mrs W. S. Angas, Miss Evelyn le Page, Miss Elsie Treneary, Messrs W. S. Angas. K. Dash, and Charles Angas.
